sanderus

Niedzica Castle by sanderus Ireland visions 2 of 5 by sanderus Tryptyk by sanderus

I chose to feature sanderus this month because of the professional way his art is presented and for his amazing talent with watercolors. This is an artist who can look at a landscape and flawlessly translate the mood of the place onto the canvas. Each setting has a uniqueness that you can practically feel while still fitting perfectly with sanderus's personal style. The gallery as a whole is a wonderful site but to see each piece in full view is simply divine.

Mature Content

venus prize by Mihai82000

The surrealism used by Mihai82000 is very mature and well-designed. The forms of figures, nature and objects intertwine seamlessly at times, starkly at others. This artist's beautiful work continues to get better and better.

Viewing this gallery is like entering a roller coaster, there are highs and lows throughout each piece and they are just bursting with life. It's easy to get lost in the vibrant hyperactive world'd Depret has created. The technique makes these works really stand out, they are bright and eye catching whilst maintaining a high level of detail which makes you want to stare for hours.

I can't help it. I'm simply in love with PrismArtGurl's mouser-kins. The gallery is filled with colorful drawings and those charming mice that make me think of illustrations from a children's book.

Sitting on that stone wall of someone’s front lawn every year, watching colors explode in the dark sky, cut in places by telephone cables weaving through the sky, hospital in the background to the left, schoolyard and playground in the foreground across the now-deserted street.
Learning complicated Japanese patty-cake games with long-time friends while parents chit chat behind us and brothers yell and run, then stop to watch our fast moving hands in awe.

Fireworks.
Party and laughter and games and lots of food, fighting for a spot on the windowsill while balancing a champagne glass full of fizzy grape juice from the supermarket to watch the New Year’s celebrations.
Charging upstairs to my bedroom for a better view of the finale with my best friend, while the boys downstairs fight over the living room porthole, glasses abandoned on the dinner table on the way up, little miracles launched off from the mall downtown.
The hyper little blonde boy who somehow manages

The Inheritance Box | Letter | Fireworks

Wow, another month gone by, seems time is going by fast, but hey at least I can submit monthly features faster than I can post daily ones.

MyMidnightLove essays and life stories burrows deep into your sub-conscious, making the little things seem more meaningful. It's these lines that makes life function when you read her pieces. You'll feel alive in the end.

Cathryn'sThere are thirty-two grease spots in the left-hand corner of the kitchen in Cathryn's Diner. It looks like they have been there for years (like I have), but I've never noticed them before. There are a lot of things I’ve never noticed before. Like how we have four broken toasters on a shelf somewhere; nobody has bothered to fix them, or to throw them away for that matter.
I did the maths earlier: I’ve spent about 15% of my life in this kitchen (which isn't much of a kitchen really, more a cup-board sized room with a stove). It feels like so much more. I did all my growing up in this place. Cathryn always there with me if I needed someone to talk to, or just a break and a much too large piece of chocolate cake. I really need a piece of chocolate cake.
Sometimes I wonder why I didn't go get a degree like I was supposed to. I had straight A's (with everything that involved) and could have gotten in anywhere. I guess it got a bit tiresome
She died around October. Her cousin's kid,
SaltThe tiny cuts on my toes ache like I’ve poured salt in them. Which I kind of have. Whoever convinced me that running barefoot through the forest and then swim in the cold, salty sea afterwards was a good idea? I guess that’s the sort of thing you do when you travel to a solitary house in the middle of the woods to figure out the meaning of your existence. I’m going to get a cold.
And as I sit here telling tales to the flames in the fireplace and thinking about Absinthe, the cat not the liqueur, with Brandy next to me, the drink not the girl, I conclude, lazily, that I exist merely to ask myself why I do just that.
MotherMy mother is a falling star. Leaving all that is golden about her in her trail until she is nothing but blackness, or maybe a grey rock that crashes through a window and into someone's loft.
She was the bubbling youth, all the freshness of spring and attractiveness of summer molded into a human being. At least that's how I remember her. It's not how my siblings will. They might treasure memories of dinners and bed-time stories the way I treasure the memory of girl's night out with the daughter in tow.
I always found falling stars sad. Bleeding out all their glitter on the way down to rock hard ground. Going from something I always imagined to be a warm glow to something harder, more weathered, more enduring.
My mother wears rhinestones in her hair and silk blouses to work. As if they would lend her some of their shine, because she has lost all of hers. She has started receiving guests in a white jumper from eighty-two and orange trainers; the woman that raised me would never have.
She

It's been one hell of a busy month, both on a personal level for me, and on deviantart as a whole! As September closes, it's been a difficult choice to feature someone as we've had a fantastic month!

However, MeadowCress deserves this feature, to seal off her most sucessive month on DA. A humble writer with a lot of potential MeadowCress is someone we should be keeping our eyes on. Not only did she win the prose category in my own contest, but also recieved her first DD. Congratulations!

Judging a Book by Its Cover | Cloud Gazing | Your Soul Mates a Bra Size

Not wanting to jump on the Daily Deviations bandwagon, I had trouble deciding whether or not to feature Bexica, a lass from Liverpool whose poetry is amazingly mature beyond her 16 short years with us on Planet Earth. I decided that the rest of her gallery besides her Daily Deviation is simply too wonderful not to share with everyone within DailyDeviants's sphere of influence. Judging a Book by Its Cover has beautiful descriptions of beautiful women behaving like beautiful bitches. Cloud Gazing is also full of concrete images that make the speaker's experience come to life for both writer and reader. Your Soul Mates a Bra Size has an ingenious turn of phrase in its title. By leaving out the possessive apostrophe, she changes the whole meaning of the phrase and adds a dramatic irony that most would simply call a typo.

Listen Closelyit's written upon the board,
in a nice
hot pink.
to stand out from the best.
so ugly and curved
that I
like
it.
like
it is
set inside
solitude.
screaming to all
hell
vibrating
off the walls.
it's captured
and all lost to the
darkness.
Study in self LoveIf there was something wrong
Who would’ve guessed it?
If I were being smart with you
How would you know?
If I loved you, how would life be?
Or feel like?
If I wanted to break, and take my own life,
Would you leave me alone, would you even care?
If anyone could ever see my whole life unfold,
Would it be wasted?
If I were awake would you put the world on pause,
Just to see me at the bottom of a lake?
If I were with you would you stay at the treetops,
With me, even when I fall?
If I were to end your life,
Would you try to end mine?
If I were to break everything in my path,
To find you, would you walk the other way?
If I were dieing inside,
Would you see it?
If you saw my side’s reflected
Would you love their beauty?
If I danced among dieing bodies,
And wept upon rolling hills;
Would you judge it?
If I passed out on Godly scents,
And played with unfound shapes,
If I wasted all of my time here on you,
Would I be forgiven or hated?
If I were madder than bull itself,
Who would know?
So I'm DeadWhere’s my home, my possessions?
I think I’m dead
Where is this place?
And where is my love?
I can’t feel you, what’s that sound?
I think that I’m dead
Is that wine or water?
A feast or for others?
Is that what I want or a devil?
I think I’m dead
Was that a test or a taste?
A dictatorship or a democracy
A monarchy or anarchy
Or was that love?
I’m dead, I’m dead!
Why are my clothes dirty, and what’s that smell?
So God eh?
I think I’m dead
Now I’m clean, is this our home?
Is this our feast? Is this our mission?
I believe I’m dead.

Listen Closely | Study In Self-Love | So I'm Dead

ufo0l is simply stunning. I don't know quite what to say apart from that. His poems all have interesting ideas and twists, beautiful imagery and very, very appealing language, not too hard, not too easy. He puts into the spotlight the phrase, "stop rushing calm down and notice this world". It should be a crime to have not read his work.
